More About Me

About Kevin:

Kevin Dix is a fourth generation Spokane native with deep ties to the area that he loves to call home.  He grew up on the south side of Spokane, in the country, and spent most of his summers on Hayden Lake in Idaho.  He is married to Sarah Dix and has 4 children.

Education and Work History

Kevin graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree from Washington State University in Construction Management with a minor in Business Administration.  He spent the last 25 years in the construction business.  He primarily worked for his family company (Dix Corporation), which built bridges, installed heavy steel structures, and did marine work on dams. Many of the iconic landmarks in the Inland Northwest were built by Dix Corporation, including the Riverfront Park Pavilion and the Coeur d’ Alene floating golf green.  Kevin also worked for commercial and residential contractors.  His experience with this type of work has leant itself well in Kevin’s ability to understand and evaluate real estate.

Kevin decided to get into real estate for several reasons, including his lifelong interest in land and homes.  He elected to take real estate classes in college and has had some special real estate training.  Also, he has been very inspired by his Aunt Suzy Dix, who has been in the top 20 Realtors in Spokane for 30 plus years.  Suzy loves what she does, is very knowledgeable and has fun in her work.  When Suzy offered to mentor and work with Kevin, he was extremely excited about the opportunity!

Community Involvement

Kevin is very community minded.  He has been an active member in many organizations including the Board of Directors for the Mobius Science Center, Associated General Contractors, House Committee for the Spokane Club, a Volunteer for United Way, Next Generation Business Group, being a Soccer Coach for his Children in SYSA, Mount Spokane Ski Race Team and being a public-school volunteer.

Personal

In his free time, Kevin loves to be outside in nature, all things sports, music, cooking and traveling.

Kevin has been to 16 different countries and has traveled all over the U.S.  He played polo for 15 years, was on the Interscholastic U.S. Polo Team that played in England, went to Nationals in Intercollegiate Polo, and was voted as the best All Western Regional Intercollegiate Polo Player.  He can barefoot waterski!  His favorite food is bbq, smoked salmon.
